Situation & Aspect: West facing in stone tower.

Dimensions: Height 0.6m Width 0.5m

Brief: To make a window in remembrance of a child called Daniel who died, for a tower built of recycled stone in field near residence, as a place for retreat and reflection.

Description: Baby and head of lion symbolising love and protection. Also a shaft of light as into a dark place.

Materials & Techniques: Two heads are "Desag Antik" painted in brown trace paint, also umber and flesh tone matt treatments. The lions head stained with gradations of yellow. Blue surround is "flashed" mouth blown glass, also etched for shaft of light. Border is "Velga" drawn slab glass which has creases to compliment rough sandstone walls of the building.
